Greetings Wild Fish Friends,
For more than 25 years, Native Fish Society has provided Northwest community members with a place to take action and support the revival of abundant wild fish, free-flowing rivers, and sustainable fisheries. We’re asking for your continued support to make 2023 our most impactful year yet!
Together with our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and capable partners, we steward some of the most iconic homewaters and native fish of the Pacific Northwest. Our voices and actions on the river, in the courtroom, and in the halls of state capitols and congress have permanently protected thousands of river miles of native fish habitat, helped create the largest network of rivers managed for wild fish south of British Columbia, and advanced data-driven reforms to build towards sustainable, climate-resilient fisheries.
Now we’re looking ahead to the next decade of work. We’re growing our groundswell of public support to provide more accessible actions for volunteers in your backyard rivers and deepen the wild fish community’s local involvement through regional chapters so we can take on the big challenges that stand in the way of abundant wild, native fish. One great testament to the power of local communities coming together to care for their rivers will be the removal of four dams on the Klamath River starting in 2023. Nature has a tremendous capacity for healing that we have the opportunity to leverage through our combined efforts.
Until all our Northwest communities enjoy healthy homewaters with abundant wild fish, we’ll be here supporting local voices, joining together to take collective action, and advancing science-based solutions to the root challenges facing native fish.
To double the impact of your gift, an anonymous benefactor will match your donation up to $50,000! Please make your 2022 year-end contribution today. We’re honored by your continued support and commitment to our native fish cause.
